History
Composer and multi-instrumentalist Tammy Laforest began her career as a songwriter living in Rhode Island. She teamed up with Alvaro Diaz from the famed band Kanerko in 2013. Together they performed as a duo until 2014.
After the release of Tammy's debut record "Copper" in 2014, Grammy nominated album producer, George Dussault, suggested that SexCoffee bassist Sharlene DeNardo join the band — a suggestion which lead to the effortless blend of voices that propelled the Dust Ruffles to new and unexpected heights.
The Dust Ruffles have performed in a variety of configurations, frequently joined by an electric guitarist, but the group made the decision to remain a three-piece band in 2018 embracing the softer, upbeat sound of their trio.
The Dust Ruffles released a single on Bandcamp called "Romeo" in 2015. They would later release a different version of
this song on their EP "Innocent Filth."
